Byanca & Brett's wedding at Manor on High, Epping

The big day finally arrived on the 9th November 2019. I was shooting the lovely Byanca who decided to get ready at her sister's home in Lalor. When I arrived the 3 bridesmaids were all various stages of makeup and hair being done. Whilst they were busy I started shooting the small details whilst also getting a few sneaky shots of the preperation. Once the bridesmaids were dressed it was time to get Byanca in her dress followed by just enough time to get some shots of the bridesmaids and bride all together before jumping in the limo.

Whilst all this was going on, my photography partner Stuart was busy photographing Brett getting ready at their house. After a bit of dutch courage and photos getting ready it was time to head to the venue also.

Byanca got ready less than 5 minutes from Manor on High in Epping, probably the closest we've ever photographed other than getting prepared at the venue itself! After a quick chat with the celebrant, Stuart stayed with the boys and I went backstage with the girls. With Byanca's father deceased, it was her gorgeous mother who had the opportunity to walk her down the aisle and I captured one of my favourite ever candid images backstage, with Byanca gathering her thoughts, her mother overcome with emotion, and her bridesmaids, 2 of whom were her sisters all psyched ready to go! Followed by a quick hug from mum, it was time for the main event!

Following a short ceremony, the newly married couple wanted some quick shots in the bar area of Manor on High before jumping back in the limo and heading down to Coburg Lake reserve, not before Stuart and I made a pitstop to Dan Murphys on the way for some 'supplies' for the bridal party. Unfortunaely it started to rain a little upon arrival but no problems, we whipped out the umbrellas and got on with it. The rain actually ended up making the green in the trees really POP! After spending some time at Coburg Lake reserve, we popped over the road to the old Pentridge Prison and got some funky shots in front of the old wall which made a fantastic backdrop with its rough texture!

Time to head back to the reception venue where they bridal pary freshened up with some food and drink in the bridal lounge whilst the guests tucked in to some yummy appetizers before the doors opened and time for the introduction!

After all the usual pleasentries of speeches, cake cut etc, it was time to party with plenty of dancing involved for the rest of the night!
